Man Struck, Killed by Vehicle on East Freeway in Houston

Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on East Freeway at Mercury Drive

Houston, Texas (July 27, 2023) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:15 a.m., July 26, in the 10200 block of East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road at the intersection of Mercury Drive.

Police said the man was possibly lying in the roadway when he was struck by a westbound gray Honda CRV.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Honda driver remained at the scene and was questioned by the police. The driver had a green light at the intersection.

The police are investigating the crash.
