Kendra Berru Dies after Corpus Christi Motorcycle Accident on South Padre Island Drive

Corpus Christi, Texas (June 10, 2018) – A woman who was a passenger in a motorcycle that collided with a car, killing to bike’s driver earlier this month in Corpus Christi has also succumbed to her injuries, according to a local news source.

The fatal collision occurred at about 12:30 a.m. June 2, on South Padre Island Drive and Staples Street.

Police said Earl McMichael, 35, was riding a motorcycle southbound on Staples when he allegedly ran the light at the intersection and collided with the side of the car.

Kendra Berru, 36, of Corpus Christi, was a passenger in the motorcycle. Both riders were taken to a Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay-Area, where McMichael died shortly after.

Berru was pronounced deceased on Saturday, June 8.

The crash remains under investigation.
