Mardella Nooner Killed in Nacogdoches Pedestrian Accident at US 259 and CR 104

Nacogdoches, Texas (December 18, 2021 – A woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Nacogdoches, according to the DPS,

The deadly accident happened around 5:20 a.m., December 15, at the intersection of US Highway 259 and CR 104.

DPS said Mardella Nooner, 68, of Nacogdoches, was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a 2012 Nissan SUV driven by Sharita Bailey, 38, of Hallsville.

Nooner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bailey was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
