Maria Sandoval-Cuellar, Ana Sandoval Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash at Gateway North and State Line Road in NE El Paso

El Paso, Texas – Two people were killed and several others were injured Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash, involving a military bus, in NE El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.

The fatal crash happened on May 5, at the intersection of Gateway North and State Line Road.

Police said an SUV pulled out from State Line Road and was struck by a military bus, which was traveling on Gateway North.

The SUV driver, Ana Sandoval, 50, was taken to the hospital where she later died. A passenger in the SUV, Maria Del Carmen Sandoval-Cuellar, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three children in the SUV, ages 5 to 12 years old, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the military bus was uninjured in the crash.

The 27 passengers in the military bus were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating the crash.
