Martha Guzman and Hank Casteel Killed in Ochiltree County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 70 near Perryton
Ochiltree County, Texas (January 29, 2019) – Two people were killed Monday afternoon in a head-on collision which left two other people seriously injured on an Ochiltree County highway, according to a local news release.
The fatal crash took place at about 4:00 p.m. January 28, on State Highway 70, south of Perryton.
DPS said a Martha Guzman, 55, of Perryton, was driving a 2012 GMC Terrain, northbound on the highway while Danny Motley, 50, of Florence, Alabama, was driving a 2014 Ford F-250 when the Terrain crossed the center stripe and collided head-on with the Ford.
Guzman died at the scene.
Motley was transported to Ochiltree General Hospital with serious injuries and was listed in stable condition. Hank Casteel, 29, of Florence, who was a passenger in the Ford, was transported to Northwest Texas Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Another passenger, Jason Burbank, 33, of Florence, was also taken to Ochiltree General Hospital with serious injuries and was listed in critical condition.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
