Melissa Hames, Wilson Jimenez Killed in Walnut Springs Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 114

Walnut Springs, Texas (August 14, 2023) – Two people were killed Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision south of Walnut Springs, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:24 p.m., August 12, on State Highway 114.

DPS said a 2000 Chevrolet pick-up was traveling southbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over the center double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a northbound 2002 Toyota passenger.

Melissa Erin Hames, 48, and Wilson Antonio Jimenez, 69, were killed in the crash.

No other details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
