2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash at FM 2641 and FM 179 in Shallowater

Two Hospitalized After Shallowater Crash at FM 2641 and FM 179

Shallowater, Texas (August 26, 2023) – Two people were injured in a Thursday night crash just outside of Shallowater, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash was reported at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday, August 24, near the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 2641 and Farm-to-Market Road 179.

DPS said a vehicle was traveling on FM 2641 when the driver failed to yield right-of-way at the intersection of FM 179.

The vehicle then pulled into the path of a pickup truck that was traveling southbound on FM 179

The driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to the University Medical Center. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to UMC by a personal vehicle.

No further details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
