Montana Stevens Killed, Luis Garcia Injured in Central El Paso Multi-Vehicle Crash on Aurora Avenue at Alabama Street

El Paso, Texas (January 8, 2023) – A woman was killed on Wednesday in a multi-vehicle crash in Central El Paso, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 5:32 p.m., January 4, at the intersection of Aurora Avenue and Alabama Street.

Police said Luis Pedro Garcia, 46, was driving a 2012 Dodge Caravan westbound on Aurora Avenue while 40-year-old Paul Ferris was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus northbound.

Garcia ran a stop sign and crashed into Ferris’ car. The impact forced debris into a northbound 2017 Ford Fusion driven by 58-year-old Andrea Baca.

The Dodge then continued into a parking lot, rolling over and hitting four unoccupied parked vehicles before stopping on a rock wall.

Garcia was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. His passenger, 22-year-old Montana Joe Stevens, was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
