Mother, 2 Children Injured in Rear-End Collision on Southwest Parkway in Wichita Falls

Mother and Two Kids Hospitalized after Wichita Falls Crash on Southwest Parkway at Elmwood Avenue

Wichita Falls, Texas (October 14, 2022) – A mother and two children were injured in a rear-end crash Friday morning in Wichita Falls, according to the Wichita Falls Police Department.

The collision occurred at about 6:30 a.m. on Southwest Parkway near the intersection of Elmwood Avenue.

Wichita Falls Police said a Dodge Caravan developed a mechanical problem and stopped on the roadway. A GMC Denali rear-ended the Caravan, which then struck a telephone pole.

A 2-year-old child was airlifted to Cook Medical Center in Fort Worth with a severe head injury. A 25-year-old woman and a 5-year-old were also taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the Denali did not suffer any injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
