Man Critically Injured in Amarillo Motorcycle Accident at Mockingbird Lane and Paramount Boulevard

Amarillo, Texas (November 15, 2019) – A man was critically injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday evening in Amarillo, according to the police.

The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. November 13, in the area of Mockingbird Lane and Paramount Boulevard.

Police said a 33-year-old Amarillo man was riding a motorcycle westbound on Mockingbird Lane when he ran a red light at the intersection and was hit by a car which was heading southbound on Paramount Boulevard.

The man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash.

The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is conducting the investigation.
