Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Crash on East Abram Street in Arlington

Man Dies in Arlington Motorcycle Accident on East Abram Street and Overhill Drive

Arlington, Texas (August 5, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday evening in a collision with a vehicle at East Arlington intersection, according to police.

The deadly accident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 3 at the intersection of East Abram Street and Overhill Drive.

Police said a pickup truck was stopped at a red light facing northbound on Overhill Drive when its driver pulled into the East Arlington intersection to turn west on East Abram Street.

For an unknown reason, the pickup truck collided with a motorcycle that was being driven eastbound on East Abram Street by a man. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from his bike upon the impact.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
