Myrtie Hoeft and Syble Bridger Killed, Doyle Bridger-Pruneda Injured in Regan County Two-Vehicle Crash at RM 1357 and SH 137

Regan County, Texas (April 8, 2022) – Two women were killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Regan County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on April 5, at the intersection of Ranch to Market 1357 and State Highway 137.

DPS said Doyle Bridger-Pruneda was driving westbound on RM 1357 when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with another vehicle that was traveling northbound on SH 137.

Bridger-Pruneda was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition. His passengers, Myrtie Hoeft, 95, and Syble Bridger, 86, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
