Nedra Parham Smith Killed in Anderson County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 3244 near Palestine

Anderson County, Texas (January 19, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Anderson County, west of Palestine, has been identified as Nedra Parham Smith, 77, of Chandler, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:43 p.m. on January 16, on FM 3244.

DPS said Smith was driving a 2016 Chevy Silverado westbound on a private road when she tried to cross FM 3244 and entered into the path of a 2013 Ford F-150.

The Ford hit the Silverado on the left side.

Smith was taken to a Palestine hospital where she later died.

The Ford driver was taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
