Officer Anthony Martin Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash at SH 29 and RM 1869 in Liberty Hill

Senior Austin Police Department Officer Anthony Martin Killed in Liberty Hill Crash at SH 29 and RM 1869 Friday morning

Liberty Hill, Texas (September 23, 2022) – Senior Austin Police Department Officer Anthony “Tony” Martin has been identified as the officer who died following a two-vehicle collision in Liberty Hill, Williamson County, on Friday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Martin was driving westbound on SH 29 when an eastbound vehicle turned left onto RM 1869 in front of him. Both vehicles ultimately collided.

Martin, who was on his way home working his night shift, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been with the department for 16 years.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and stopped at the scene.
