One Injured High-Speed Chase Crash near Cuenca Drive and Don Camilo Drive in Laredo; Tory Mote Arrested

1 Hospitalized after Laredo Two-Vehicle Crash near Cuenca Drive and Don Camilo Drive; Tory Mote Arrested

Laredo, Texas (February 25, 2020) – One person was injured in a high-speed chase early Sunday morning in south Laredo, according to the DPS.

The crash happened on Sunday, February 23, near the intersection of Cuenca Drive and Don Camilo Drive.

DPS said a trooper attempted to pull over a black Audi, but the driver refused, and a pursuit began.

The Audi then crashed into another vehicle near the intersection.

The Audi driver, 29-year-old Tory Mote of Tennessee, was arrested. Two undocumented passengers in the Audi were taken into U.S. Border Patrol custody.

The Audi had been reported stolen out of Macon County, Tennessee.

The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Mote was charged with evading arrest, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and possession of a controlled substance.

The crash remains under investigation.
