66-Year-Old Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on McNeil Drive; Adrian Thomas Arrested

Austin, Texas (May 27, 2021) – According to the police, a pedestrian was fatally hit by an intoxicated driver Saturday night in northwest Austin.

The deadly accident happened around 8:40 p.m., May 22, in the 7300 block of McNeil Drive.

Police said Adrian Thomas, 40, was driving a Chevrolet Impala when he struck a 66-year-old pedestrian.

The pedestrian was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

Thomas was arrested and has been charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
