One Killed in Houston METRORail-Pedestrian Accident on Fannin

Houston, Texas (October 13, 2023) – According to officials, a pedestrian was fatally hit by a METRORail Thursday night in downtown Houston.

The deadly accident happened around 7:50 p.m., October 12, in the 600 block of Fannin.

Officials said a person was standing on the platform for an extended period of time when they were struck by a METRORail. 

The person was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

No other information was available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
