Anna Lorena Hospitalized after Anderson County Crash on U.S Highway 175 at ACR 3051

Anderson County, Texas (December 1, 2022) – Anna Lorena, 20, of Grand Prairie, was injured after she was involved in a deadly car crash on Tuesday night east of Frankston in Anderson County.

The crash occurred at about 10:11 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 on U.S Highway 175 at ACR 3051.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 18-year-old Alex Garcia of Frankston was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion eastbound on U.S Highway 175 when he tried to make a left turn on ACR 3051.

Garcia failed to yield the right-of-way while he was turning. A 2007 Subaru Tribeca heading westbound on U.S Highway 175 struck the Ford on the passenger side.

A passenger in the Ford, 18-year-old Devany Betancourt of Frankston, died in the crash.

Lorena who was a passenger in the Subaru was transported to a nearby hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. The driver of the Subaru was identified as Omar Perez, 22, also of Grand Prairie.

No additional information about the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
