One Killed in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 40

Amarillo, Texas (March 17, 2021) – According to officials, one person was killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday morning in Amarillo.

The deadly accident happened on Interstate 40.

Officials said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, on the interstate.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The accident closed the westbound traffic at I-40 and Helium Road.

No further details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
