One Person Killed in Irving Pedestrian Accident on State Highway Loop 12

Irving, Texas (September 21, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by an 18-wheeler on Wednesday in Irving, according to Irving police.

The deadly crash took place on State Highway Loop 12 on Wednesday, September 20.

Irving police said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the freeway when they were struck by an 18-wheeler.

The pedestrian died in the crash.

Northbound lanes of State Highway Loop 12 were closed for hours following the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
