Pedestrian Killed in Crash on I-35 in Austin

One Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a pedestrian accident in Austin, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened in the 4900 block of North I-35.

Officials said an adult was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed all lanes of northbound I-35 near 51st Street. Northbound traffic was diverted south of Barbara Jordan Boulevard.

It is unknown if the driver remained at the scene following the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
