One Killed in North Austin Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on East Rundberg Lane

Austin, Texas (May 11, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed early Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident in north Austin, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 12:50 a.m. on East Rundberg Lane, just east of the Interstate 35 service road.

Police said the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, on the roadway.

The victim was killed in the crash.

The involved driver fled the scene after the accident.

The accident closed the eastbound and westbound lanes of Rundberg Lane.

No further details were provided.

The Austin police are investigating the crash.
