Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Parmer Lane in Northeast Austin

One Killed in Northeast Austin Pedestrian Accident on East Parmer Lane

Austin, Texas (April 20, 2020) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle early Monday morning in northeast Austin, according to police.

The accident occurred just after midnight in westbound lanes of East Parmer Lane between U.S. 290 and State Highway 130.

Police said the pedestrian was struck by a van, for unknown reasons, in the westbound lanes of Parmer Lane.

The victim was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

The van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

 The westbound lanes of Parmer Lane were closed following the crash.

No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
