Person Killed in Harrison County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20 near Waskom
Harrison County, Texas (January 4, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck several times and killed by vehicles Friday morning in Harrison County, authorities said.
At around 5:45 a.m., the authorities received a report regarding a person hit by a vehicle on Interstate 20 near Waskom.
According to the authorities, the driver run out of gas and was walking down the Interstate when for reasons still under investigation they were hit multiple times by vehicles.
The unidentified driver was killed in the accident. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
Traffic was diverted at Mile Marker 628, near the Ireland Williams/Bellville Road off-ramp as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
