55-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident Thursday night on Interstate 45 near Little York
Houston, Texas (March 9, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late Thursday night in Houston, according to a local news source.
The tragic accident took place at around 10:10 p.m. Thursday, March 7 on Interstate 45 near Little York, police said.
According to the police, the pedestrian was running across lanes of the North Freeway when a black Chevrolet Tahoe hit her.
The pedestrian, only identified as a 55-year-old woman, was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The driver of the Chevrolet stopped at the scene and complied with investigators. Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factor in the accident.
No one else was injured in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
