Rachel Butler Hit, Killed by Vehicle on S. First Street in Abilene

Rachel Butler Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on S. First Street

Abilene, Texas (July 21, 2023) – A 44-year-old woman was fatally hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Abilene, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:46 a.m., July 19, in the 4500 block of S. First Street. 

Police said Rachel Butler, 44, was walking in the eastbound lane when she was struck by an eastbound GMC truck.

The GMC then collided with a Dodge Charger, a KIA, and a Ford truck.

Butler was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
