Ray Sickinger Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 85 in Henderson County

Ray Sickinger ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Henderson County Crash on FM 85

Henderson County, Texas (October 16, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision with an 18-wheeler Friday afternoon in Henderson County as Ray Sickinger, 50, of Mabank.

The deadly crash happened at about 2:53 p.m. Friday, October 13, on FM 85.

DPS said Sickinger was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on FM 85 when an eastbound Kenworth truck tractor turned in front of him.

Unfortunately, Sickinger crashed into the 18-wheeler.

Stickinger was transported to UT Health Gun Barrel, where he was later declared dead.

Harmon was uninjured.

Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
