Roger Glover Killed in Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 290

Harris County, Texas (February 22, 2021) – According to deputies, two people were killed, and several others were injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in Harris County.

The fatal crash happened just before 10:00 p.m., February 21, on Highway 290 near West Little York.

Deputies said a yellow Chevrolet Camaro was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a Chevrolet Malibu at an underground car meet.

The force of the impact sent the Malibu into hundreds of onlookers who were standing along sidewalks on the frontage road as others showed off their vehicles.

35-year-old Roger Glover was killed in the crash. Two teenage boys were airlifted to Memorial Hermann with serious injuries, where one of them later died.

Another person was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

At least five other people were treated at the scene for their injuries.

The Camaro driver, Andrew Mock, 22, was arrested and taken into custody on one count of manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury/ reckless driving. Those charges will likely be upgraded after the second death was confirmed.

The crash remains under investigation.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
