Scooter Rider Struck, Critically Injured by Vehicle at West 28th Street and Guadalupe Street in Austin

One Person Hospitalized after Austin Scooter Accident at West 28th Street and Guadalupe Street

Austin, Texas (August 27, 2023) – A person riding a scooter was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon at an intersection in central Austin, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 12:32 p.m. Saturday, August 26, at the intersection of West 28th Street and Guadalupe Street.

According to the authorities, the scooter was struck by a vehicle at the intersection near the UT campus.

The scooter rider, only identified as an adult victim, was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
