Selena Hernandez and Colby Wade Stange Injured in Fatal Comanche County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH-6 near Gorman

Comanche County, Texas (June 4, 2020) – Three people were killed, and two others were injured Tuesday evening in a head-on collision in Comanche County, three miles south of Gorman, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash occurred at about 5:00 p.m. on June 2, on state Highway 6.

DPS said a Chevrolet Cruze was heading westbound on the highway when it veered into the eastbound lane. A BMW crossed into the westbound lane to avoid the Cruze, but the Cruze veered back into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into the BMW.

Three passengers in the BMW, Everardo Palacios, 19, of Conroe, Bertha Gloria Muniz, 20, of Hico and Eric Arthur Jason Martinez, 21, of Hico, were killed in the crash.

The BMW driver, Selena Hernandez, 20, of Hico, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with serious /incapacitating injuries.

The Cruze driver, Colby Wade Stange, 20, of Orange, was taken to Comanche County Medical Center with stable/incapacitating injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
