Shirley Sloan, Gerald Sloan Killed in Car Accident on State Highway 114 and Cowboy Court in Granbury

Shirley Sloan and Gerald Sloan ID’d as 2 Killed in Granbury Crash on State Highway 114 and Cowboy Court

Granbury, Texas (June 3, 2019) – The Texas Department of Public Safety have identified Shirley F. Sloan, 83, and Gerald Sloan, 91, both of North Richland Hills as the two people who were killed Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident in Granbury.

The tragic wreck occurred at about 12:18 p.m. Saturday, June 1 on State Highway 114 and Cowboy Court.

According to the DPS, Michael Bryant Keigley, 28, of Meridian, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Blazer southbound when he failed to yield the right-of-way and attempted to make a left onto Cowboy Court in front of a northbound 2009 Cadillac occupied by Shirley and Gerald.

The Blazer then collided head-on with the Cadillac.

Shirley and Gerald sustained critical injuries and were airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

Keigley suffered major injuries and was also airlifted to Harris Hospital Ft. Worth.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
