Innocent Man Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on El Dorado Boulevard at Highway 3

Houston, Texas (December 18, 2020) – An innocent man was killed early Thursday morning in a traffic collision involving a runaway 16-year-old girl in Houston, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m., December 17, on El Dorado Boulevard at Highway 3.

Police said the 16-year-old girl stole her mother’s car, a red SUV, and led officers on a chase.

The officers backed off from the chase, but the girl continued driving, and she rear-ended another vehicle.

The impact pushed that vehicle off the roadway into a tree. A male passenger in the car was killed in the crash. The female driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The girl was also taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash closed all lanes of Highway 3 at El Dorado. One eastbound lane of El Dorado was also closed.

Motorists were urged to use El Camino Real as an alternate route.

The crash remains under investigation.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statutes which were violated.
