Man Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Fritch Highway in Amarillo

22-Year-Old Man Injured in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident on Fritch Highway

Amarillo, Texas (September 16, 2023) – A 22-year-old man was injured early Friday morning in a pedestrian accident in Amarillo, according to the Texas DPS.

The accident happened around 1:00 a.m., September 15, on Fritch Highway.

DPS said the man, who was intoxicated, was walking in the middle of the highway when he was struck by an SUV.

The man was taken to Northwest Texas Healthcare with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
