Shirley Taylor ID’d as Elderly Woman Killed in Polk County Car Crash on U.S. Highway 190 at Walding Road
Polk County, Texas (January 10, 2019) – The woman who was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Polk County near Livingston has succumbed to her injuries, according to the DPS.
Shirley Taylor, 90, of Livingston, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, January 8.
The crash happened at about 2:00 p.m. January 4, on U.S. Highway 190 at Walding Road.
DPS said Taylor was driving a 2002 Chevrolet southbound on Walding Road when she failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a 2014 Ford passenger car driven by Stacy White, 31, of Goodrich.
Taylor was flown to Conroe Regional Medical Center with serious injuries where she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
White was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Livingston in unknown condition.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
