Sylvia Rodriguez ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Crash on 38th Street and Enrique Barrera Highway in San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas (May 26, 2019) –  The woman who was struck and killed by two trucks on the West Side Friday night has been identified as Sylvia Rodriguez, 56, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash happened at around 10:45 p.m. Friday, May 24, on 38th Street and Enrique Barrera Highway.
According to the police, Rodriguez was attempting to cross the street when a black pickup making a turn onto Enrique Barrera Highway from 38th Street struck her.
Rodriguez was subsequently struck by a white pickup truck that was traveling behind the first truck.
Police said Rodriguez succumbed to her injuries while en-route to a hospital.
The two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
