Tara Lydy Killed in Anderson County Pedestrian Accident on US 175 near Frankston

Anderson County, Texas (November 24, 2020) – A Palestine woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash Monday night in Anderson County, west of Frankston, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 11:42 p.m., November 23, on US 175.

According to a preliminary investigation, Tara Lydy, 26, was walking or standing in the inside westbound lane of the highway when she was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Lydy was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details regarding the accident were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
