Vanessa Amend Killed in Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident on Texas 183

Fort Worth, Texas (December 9, 2022) – The woman who was killed Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Fort Worth has been identified as Vanessa Jane Amend, 27, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The deadly accident happened around 3:25 a.m., December 4, on Texas 183 westbound at the 360 southbound ramp.

Police said Amend was involved in a crash, and her vehicle was disabled. She was then hit by another car on the roadway.

Amend was killed in the crash.

The vehicle fled the scene after the crash.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a newer white Ford Mustang with blue or dark-colored racing stripes.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the hit-and-run or has any information on the suspect is asked to call detectives at 817-392-4892.
