Velton Harry Killed, Albert Maria Injured in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 302

Ector County, Texas (January 30, 2020) – A man was killed, and another person was taken to the hospital after a head-on crash Tuesday night west of Odessa, according to the DPS.

The crash was reported around 8:37 p.m. January 28, on Highway 302.

DPS said Velton Harry, 90, of Odessa, was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway when he collided head-on with a Chevrolet pickup driven by Albert Maria.

Harry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Maria was taken to Medical Center Hospital in an unknown condition.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
