Victor Pena ID’d as Driver Killed in San Antonio Crash on Highway 151 near Callaghan Road
San Antonio, Texas (July 11, 2022) – The driver who died following a wrong-way crash early Sunday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Victor Pena, 39.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the deadly crash happened at about 2:00 a.m. Sunday, July 10, on Highway 151 South near Callaghan Road on the city’s far West Side.
Police said Pena was driving a Dodge Nitro southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 151 when His vehicle collided head-on with a Cadillac XTS that was heading northbound.
Pena died at the scene.
The driver of the Cadillac XTS was taken to University Hospital with major injuries. Authorities said the driver was in stable condition.
Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.
An investigation is underway.
