Walmart Employee Hit by Drunk Driver on SE Loop 410 in San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas – A Walmart employee was critically injured on Monday after being struck by a possible drunk driver in San Antonio’s Southeast Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The accident happened just after 11:10 p.m., April 29, at the Walmart at 2100 SE Loop 410.

Police said the employee, a woman in her 40s, was either just getting off a shift or on her break from her job at the Walmart when she was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot. She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

No other details were available.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
