61-Year-Old William Tinsley Killed in Kerrville Pedestrian Accident on Sidney Baker Street

Kerrville, Texas (May 2, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday in Kerrville, police said.

The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. April 29, in the 1700 block of Sidney Baker Street.

Police said William Tinsley, 61, of Kerrville, was on his way to work at Home Depot and was crossing the street in a crosswalk when he was struck by a pickup driven by a 24-year-old Center Point man.

Tinsley was taken to Peterson Regional Medical Center, where he was stabilized and then airlifted to San Antonio Military Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries later in the evening.

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. He was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Additional charges are pending an investigation.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
