Woman Airlifted After Big Rig Crash on Highway 290 in Jersey Village

Woman Injured in Jersey Village Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 290 near Eldridge

Jersey Village, Texas (August 12, 2021) – According to the police, a woman was injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Jersey Village.

The crash happened around 12:15 a.m., in the westbound lanes of Highway 290, near N. Eldridge.

Police said the woman was driving a Lexus when she rear-ended a big rig.

The woman was airlifted to the hospital in unknown condition.

The big rig driver remained at the scene after the crash.

The crash closed the main lanes of the highway for five hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
