Woman Injured in DWI Crash on IH-35 in San Antonio

Woman Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on IH-35

San Antonio, Texas (February 28, 2022) – A woman was injured early Sunday morning in a DWI crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened around 2:48 a.m., February 27, on the access road of 6200 block IH-35.

Police said a Hyundai was stopped at a red light when it was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver.

The suspect checked on the Hyundai driver but then fled the scene.

The suspect had a female passenger who sustained a broken leg. He drove the woman back to his home.

The suspect was evaluated, and police found that he was under the influence. He was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault, Failure to Stop and Render Aid-SBI, and Failure to Stop and Give Info.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
