Woman Killed, 2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Beamer Road in Houston

58-Year-Old Woman Killed, Two Hospitalized after Houston Crash on Beamer Road

Houston, Texas (June 9, 2022) – A woman was killed and two other people were hospitalized following a traffic collision Wednesday afternoon in Houston, according to Houston police.

The fatal crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in the 13900 block of Beamer Road.

Police said a red Kia Soul was heading northbound on Beamer Road when she reportedly developed a medical episode and lost control of the vehicle.

The Kia then crossed over the grassy median and entered the opposite lane, where it collided with a southbound blue Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The woman driving the Kia was taken to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Medical personnel mentioned that the woman may have suffered a heart attack before the collision. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

A passenger in the Kia and the Chevrolet driver sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

No further details about the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
