Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Crash on Hwy 174 in Johnson County

30-Year-Old Woman Killed, Two Injured in Johnson County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 174 near Old Foamy Road

Johnson County, Texas (August 25, 2020)According to a local news source, a 30-year-old Cleburne woman was killed in a head-on collision that left two other people injured Friday afternoon in Johnson County, between Cleburne and Rio Vista.

The crash was reported around 3:58 p.m., August 21, on Highway 174 near Old Foamy Road.

DPS said an SUV was heading southbound on the highway when it veered into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a Jeep driven by the woman.

The SUV driver was airlifted to Texas Health Harris Hospital with serious injuries.

The woman was airlifted to Texas Health Harris Hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The woman’s three kids were in the Jeep at the time of the crash. One of the children, a 9-year-old boy, was airlifted to Cook Children’s with possible injuries.

The other two children were not seriously injured in the crash.

The Texas DPS is investigating the crash.
