61-Year-Old Woman Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 281; Robert Lee Collett Jr. Arrested

San Antonio, Texas (November 20, 2020) – A 61-year-old woman was killed in a DUI crash early Friday morning in San Antonio, according to police.

The fatal crash happened on Highway 281 northbound near Thousand Oaks.

Police said Robert Lee Collett Jr., 38, was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a white 1995 Honda Civic.

A woman in the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Officers said Collett Jr. appeared to have been intoxicated at the time of the crash and is facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.

The police are investigating the crash.
