Woman Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Jim Wright Freeway in Lake Worth

Woman Killed in Lake Worth Two-Vehicle Crash on Jim Wright Freeway near Azle Avenue

Lake Worth, Texas (July 17, 2023) – A 71-year-old woman was killed Monday morning in a wrong-way crash in Lake Worth, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 10:00 a.m., July 10, in the northbound lanes of Jim Wright Freeway service road near Azle Avenue.

According to the report, the woman pulled out of the QuikTrip on Marine Creek Parkway and headed southbound in the northbound lanes of the service road before colliding head-on with another vehicle.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The other driver was not seriously injured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
