Woman Killed, Man Critically Injured in Houston Crash on 610 North Loop and Hardy Toll Road

Houston, Texas (December 1, 2022) – A woman was killed and a man was critically injured in a wrong-way, head-on crash early Saturday morning in Houston, authorities said.

The deadly crash took place on the North Loop and the Hardy Toll Road on Saturday, November 26.

A deputy with Harris County Constable Pct. 3 came upon a woman who was driving in the opposite direction on the Hardy Toll Road lanes.

As the woman was approaching 610 North Loop, the deputy tried to stop her. The woman reportedly collided head-on with a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of the family.

The man driving the Tahoe was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

It is undetermined if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the HPD and Harris County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office.
