Zabrian Granado Killed, Tracy Baten Injured in Car Crash on FM 1585 in Hockley County

Zabrian Granado Killed and Tracy Baten Injured in Hockley County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1585 near US 385

Hockley County, Texas (December 18, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Hockley County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:00 p.m., December 14, on FM Road 1585 near U.S. Highway 385, 3 miles south of Levelland.

DPS said Zabrian Xzavier Granado, 33, of Levelland, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on the highway when he ran a stop sign and collided with a northbound 2014 GMC Yukon driven by Tracy Marie Baten, 49, of Levelland.

Granado was pronounced dead at the scene.

Baten was taken to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock with incapacitating injuries.

No additional information was provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
