One Flown after Kaufman County Crash on Interstate 20

Kaufman County, Texas (August 8, 2019) – One person was airlifted to a hospital after a multi-vehicle collision early Wednesday morning in Kaufman County, according to the Elmo Fire Department.

The crash took place at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, on Interstate 20 at mile marker 510.

The authorities said a Ford Mustang traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the guardrail and was hit by other vehicles.

The driver of the Ford was airlifted to a Dallas hospital with unknown injuries.

No one else needed to be transported to a hospital.

I-20 was closed for approximately two hours as the scene was examined and cleared.

The crash is under investigation.
